Any Given Sunday . . .

These days in the NFL, any team can win on any Sunday. A good example was the Broncos losing to the Chargers at home. I'm sure most people thought San Diego would compete with Denver, but eventually the Broncos would score 40 or more points and win the game. The Chargers won the game and people are left wondering if their are anymore guaranteed wins in the NFL anymore.

When you look at games and try to bet on them, don't think the easy pick is a guaranteed win. The Saints play in St. Louis and you think they would kill them, but don't be shocked if the lose. That goes for the 49ers, Chiefs and Colts as well. Just because you are playoff bound team or winning your division, you have to play hard every game no matter the opponent. I hope the games this weekend will be just as exciting as last week and of course, there will be some upsets that we won't see coming.

I have picked two games to analyze this weekend, so let's get to it:

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins

This is a big game for both teams. Since the Broncos lost on Thursday Night, the Patriots have an opportunity to take over the 1st seed in the AFC playoffs with a win in Miami. This will be the first game without Gronkowski and that will change the offense a lot. New England will have to rely on Ammendola and Edelman to pick up the slack and look for Shane Vereen to play a huge roll for the Patriots. New England will face tough Miami defense that has been playing well all year, so Brady and company will have to be precise against an aggressive defense. The Patriots defense hasn't been playing very well and look for the Dolphins offense to exploit it. Remember, Tom Brady is really good and he will keep the Patriots in the game until the end.

For the Dolphins, this is the game of the year. Miami has lost the last 7 games vs New England including the last meeting in October. Miami raced out to a 17-3 halftime lead, but game up 24 unanswered points and lost the game. The Dolphins have won 2 games in a row on the road and look to win a big ball game in front of their home fans. The defense has been playing great football and will cause chaos for Tom Brady and his receivers. The front four will get a few sacks and finding ways to cause turnovers is vital for the Miami defense. This game will depend on Tannehill leading the offense to touchdowns, not field goals. They have been clicking the last couple games, so look for Hartline and Wallace to give the Patriots secondary fits.

The Patriots will blow their chance at the #1 seed in the AFC after a loss against the Dolphins. This won't just be a huge with for the team, but a huge win the city and fans of Miami.
Baltimore Ravens at Detroit Lions

This is a great match up of two teams that are relieved the game will be played in a dome and not in the snow. The Ravens need to win to stay in the 6th position in the AFC playoff race, but it will be tough for them to hang with Detroit. The Ravens offense has been stagnant especially the rushing attack by Ray Rice. Joe Flacco will need to play a perfect game to give the Ravens a chance. Jacoby Jones has been the go to WR and the return of TE Dennis Pita will help the passing attack. The Baltimore defense will have their hands full with Megatron, Reggie Bush and Stafford. This will be a shootout so the Ravens offense will have to carry the team on Monday Night.

When you get a transformer of yourself, you are badass.

The Lions need this win badly. They are coming off a crazy game in the snow in Philadelphia and have lost 2 out the last three, including a loss at home to Tampa Bay. The are tied for 1st in the NFC North with the Bears and need a win to stay in 1st. This game is in a dome, so Megatron and the other receivers will be able to run their routes a whole lot better than the snow game last week. Look for Calvin Johnson to have a great game (he does every game) and the rushing attack of Bush and Bell will run all over the Baltimore defense. Stafford will throw 3 TD's and also throw a few INT's, but the Lions will run away with this game in the 3rd quarter.

The Ravens will battle hard like they always do, but not enough weapons on offense will cost them the game. The Lions will look good on Monday Night and keep themselves atop the NFC North.
The Snow Has Arrived . . .

I went 13-2 in my game picks! The crazy weather and insane finishes made this weekend one of the best ever. The snowstorms that affected many of the game were awesome. The storm in Philadelphia was the worse with the snow piling up on the field and the players trying to play through it. Watching football in the snow while I am at home nice and warm is such a good feeling. From now on, the weather will effect how the games will be played. I believe it is a good thing because the Super Bowl is a cold city, so by the time the two teams get there, the players will be ready.

The 3 games I analyzed were full of excitement and should be a primer for the playoffs.
The Real Fun Begins . . .

This is going to be a great weekend of football games, mostly in the NFC. The 3 games I will be analyzing involve playoff contenders and possible match ups come January.
Let's get to it:

Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles

This game will have lots of points. The Eagles are flying high and looking for their fifth win in a row mostly because of Nick Foles. This season, Foles has thrown 19 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. That's right, 0 interceptions. With stats like that, it's no wonder the Eagles are in the race for the NFC East title. For Detroit, they come into Philadelphia after beating up the Packers on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions have a one game lead in the NFC North, so this game is very important game in a tight race for the division title.

Both defenses are playing decent this year, but both won't be able to contain the others offense. Look for the team with the last possession to pull out the game. Foles and Stafford will each throw for over 300 yards and 2 TD's. Look for LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson to slightly outplay Megatron and Reggie Bush. Stafford will throw a bad interception late in the game and allow Foles to lead the Eagles to a late score and pull out the victory.

Eagles 30

Lions 24

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

If you like defense and a lot of trash talk, this is the game for you. These teams hate each other and it will show on the field. Don't be shocked if either a coach or player gets ejected at some point in the game. These two teams play old school football with tough defense, smart offense and good coaching. Russell Wilson has played like a MVP for Seattle and will look to prove it against a tough San Francisco defense on the road. Seattle has a 3 game lead for the division and a 2 game lead for home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs so this game isn't a must win for them.

For the 49ers, they have to win this game. They are 1 game behind Carolina for the 5th seed in the playoffs, so they can't afford to lose any ground. The 49ers offense has played better the past few weeks, but can they continue it against a stout Seattle defense?

This will be a close game till the end with not many points scored and plenty of hard hits. Look for Kaepernick to rush for a lot of crucial yards and make good decisions against a tough Seahawks defense. Frank gore will step up and gain some tough yardage that will set up some clutch throws by Kaepernick. Seattle will hang in throughout the game but a couple bad plays on defense and a costly fumble by Marshawn Lynch will cost the Seahawks the game.
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints

This will be another great Sunday Night game. Upstart Carolina is looking to take 1st place in the NFC South. The Panthers are playing complete team football. Defense is solid, offense is making plays and special teams don't make mistakes. Cam Newton is leading this team and will have to take his game to a completely different level to beat the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints, after getting humiliated on Monday Night in Seattle, are looking to bounce back in front of a raucous crowd in New Orleans. The Saints will return to their explosive offense despite being held down in Seattle. Can the New Orleans defense get back to playing good football after the Monday Night beat down?

This is a tough game to predict. I know the Saints are playing at home and you should never beat against them, but the Panther defense is great and their offense can match the Saints offense. If the Saints lose this game, they go from the 2nd seed to the 5th seed and would have to go on the road for the playoffs. That is why I will pick the Saints because they cannot afford to lose this game. Brees will have 3 TD's and throw for over 300 yards. Also look for Darren Sproles to run wild on a tough Carolina defense. Newton will keep the Panthers in the ballgame, but a couple turnovers due to the noisy crowd will cost the Panthers 1st place in the NFC South.
'Tis the Season . . .

The college game between Alabama and Auburn was the highlight of the weekend. When I watched Auburn return the missed field goal and win the game, I was speechless. It was like a movie where the underdog does something crazy to win the game, but no one believes it could happen in real life. Well it did in Auburn Saturday night. Many sports people have criticized Alabama's coach Nick Saban for sending a red shirt freshmen onto the field to attempt a 57 yard field goal that would have won the game. There is some validity to that, but I think it is being over blown. How often have you seen a player return a kick like that? Once every 10,000 tries? It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback and criticize Saban for the field goal try. At the moment of the play, I believe kicking the field goal was the right call.

This was just a average weekend of games. There weren't any upsets, most of the favorites won and the Seahawks showed the whole league no one will beat them at home. I went 11-5 this weekend in my picks and got the score of the 49ers/Rams game exactly right! Let's analyze the biggest game (turned out to be a blowout) the Saints vs the Seahawks in Seattle.

Seahawks 34, Saints 7

The winner of this game was going to take a huge step toward home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Unfortunately, the Saints play like a different team when they have to play outdoors. The weather tends to cause havoc on New Orleans and shake up Brees just enough for them to lose. Last night was no exception as Brees threw for only 147 yards and had 1 fumble. When is the last time Drew Brees threw for under 200 yards? Worse off was their running game only producing a total of 44 yards. The atmosphere of Seattle and the elements caused those bad stats. This is the concern the Saints have because when they have to leave the Superdome, they aren't as high powered offensively as they should be. Their division games against the Carolina Panthers coming up are huge.

This was a shinning moment for the Seahawks. Monday night game, lots of people watching and they destroyed the Saints in every part of the game. The defense caused a fumble and returned it for touchdown early in the game. The secondary blanketed the Saints receivers all night and Jimmy Graham only had 3 catches. The star of the night was Russell Wilson, who looked like a MVP candidate. Wilson threw for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns and also ran for 47 yards. He had full control of the offense and created so many plays with his feet and arm, New Orleans didn't know what to do. The Saints defense has played well all year, but something about playing in Seattle for Wilson cancels out those stats. By the way, since Russell Wilson has become the starter for Seattle in 2012, he is a perfect 14-0 at home.

With this win, Seattle clinched a playoff spot and are now 2 games up on the Saints for home field in the NFC playoffs with 4 games to go. Good luck to any team in the playoffs that have to attempt to beat Seattle in their building.
Gobble Gobble and Turkey Hangovers . . . .

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed lots of Turkey and plenty of alcohol. There are some crucial games this weekend, but nothing bigger than the Monday Night game between the Seahawks and the Saints. Let's analyze this monster match-up:

New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks

This is going to be one of the best games of the year. If Seattle can win this game, they would take a commanding 2 game lead on the Saints for home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Playing in Seattle in January where it will be cold and wet would make the Seahawks the favorite to get to the Super Bowl. For the Saints to win, they have to get consistent play from their offense. I know they can beat anyone at home and score at will, but on the road, they are a different team. The offense struggled when they lost to the Jets in New York and even struggled against a bad Falcons team in Atlanta. The home crowd in Seattle is the loudest in the league and they will disrupt the Saints offense at crucial parts of the game. The Saints defense has played well this season, but will have a tough time stopping the rushing attack by Marshawn Lynch. The Seahawks will shuffle their receivers around, especially Harvin, and make the Saints play a different type of defense in their secondary. Seattle will sustain drives during the whole game, forcing the Saints defense to stay on the field and be exhausted by the 4th quarter.

For Seattle, sustaining drives will be vital to winning the game. With a high powered offense like the Saints, best way to stop them is to keep them on the sidelines. Since Seattle is built to run the ball a lot, look for 10 or more plays on most of their offensive drives. Lynch will run for over 100 yards and at least 1 touchdown and cause chaos for the New Orleans defense. Look for Percy Harvin to be a full force in the offense and make some crucial plays at big moments of the game. Russell Wilson will throw for a few touchdowns and prove once again he is one of the rising stars in the NFL. The Saints will hang with Seattle for a while, but will falter in the 2nd half. The loud crowd and cold/wet weather will disrupt the timing and preciseness of the Saints offense. The Seahawks will make a huge step towards having home field throughout the NFC playoffs when the beat the Saints on Monday Night Football.
Comebacks and Upsets . . .and 1 Tie:

This was one of my worst weekends of picking NFL games ever. I went 4-9 and the Packers/Vikings game ended in a rare tie. Just a crazy weekend of football again and it won't be the last one. How does Tampa Bay beat the NFC North leading Lions in Detroit? Are the Texans the worst team in football? Are the Cardinals for real? How is Tom Brady kicking ass with a bunch of no names on offense? Just a crazy time in the NFL and with the playoff push in full swing, it will only get crazier.

Patriots 34, Broncos 31 (OT)

I hope most of you watched this whole game because it was a classic. The Broncos, after forcing 3 turnovers in the 1st half, sprinted out to a 24-0 lead at halftime! Most people would think game over, but not with Tom Brady on the field. In the first half, the Patriots looked lost, confused and totally out of sync. With fumbles by the Patriots running backs Ridley and Blount, both were benched for the rest of the game. That's the Patriot way. When you screw up in big situations, you will pay the price. I agree with that philosophy totally. Players should be held accountable for their mistakes and must face the consequences for it.

The Broncos offense, even with a 24-0 lead at half, didn't display the type of explosiveness they have shown all year. The 20 degree weather and wind forced the Broncos offense to slow down a bit. The history of Peyton Manning playing in cold climate is not good, especially in New England. Even though Manning look uncomfortable and out of sync, the Broncos were still able to score 31 points. Knowshon Moreno had a monster game, rushing for 224 yards and scoring 1 touchdown. Usually the New England defense handles running backs at home, but Moreno shredded that defense all night long helping the Broncos sustain drives.

The Patriots showed they are never out of a game even if they are down 24 points. They didn't panic, they didn't self destruct, they came out for the 2nd half and just played great football. Julian Edelman had a big game with 110 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. The way Edelman played reminded the New England crowd that Wes Welker, who now plays for Denver, can be replaced. The Patriots after this big win are back on the map as a Super Bowl contender.

During the game, Brady threw a pass to Kenbrell Thompkins that went incomplete, but the play could have been called pass interference. Immediately after that play, Brady ran towards the ref who didn't call a penalty on that play and started yelling at him. I know a lot of people believed Brady acted like a child and wonder why a penalty wasn't called on Brady for yelling at the ref, but I see it different. I love to see a QB do that. It tells me he cares so much for his team that he will risk a possible penalty to come to the aid of his teammate. It shows me the intensity and dedication he has to win at any cost. Do you see mediocre QB's do any of that stuff? Don't you want to see your quarterback fired up during the whole game? I've seen elite quarterbacks do that stuff and it fires up the rest of team. I rather have a loud mouth QB than a passive one.

Cowboys 24, Giants 21

This was a big game for both teams in the NFC East division race. The Cowboys jumped out early, then the Giants came back, but Dallas won it with a last second field goal by Dan Bailey. The Giants playoff hopes really got crushed with this loss because winning the division is the only way they can make it. Both the Eagles and Cowboys could lose more games down the line, but it's unlikely. Andre Brown had a great game rushing for 127 yards and made it look easy to run on the Dallas defense. The Giants were able to drive on the Cowboys, but stalled many times in the red zone and had to settle for field goals. Victor Cruz had a terrible game with just 2 catches and fumbled the ball leading to a Dallas defensive touchdown. If Cruz would have played a decent game, the Giants could have pulled out the victory.

For Dallas, this was a satisfying win. Romo led the team down the field during the end of the game that set up the winning field goal. Critics have knocked Romo for not being "clutch," but he showed them he was clutch on the last drive. Dez Bryant had over 100 yards receiving and Jason Witten caught 2 touchdown passes. When those 2 players are having good games, the Cowboys usually win the game. The Dallas defense played well in this game, despite giving up over 120 yards rushing. Stopping the Giants in the red zone and making them kick filed goals instead of touchdowns allowed Dallas to pull out the win and retake 1st place in the NFC East.
Continue the Chaos . . .

Week 12 offers a lot of important games. Colts at Cardinals, Panthers at Dolphins and even Steelers at Browns have playoff implications for both the AFC and NFC. As the weather gets colder everywhere, the heat for some teams to win and get into the playoffs gets hotter and hotter. I love this time of the year because it shows the teams that are ready to make a run at the Super Bowl and the teams that are fake and looking towards next year. I am picking the 2 games that are the biggest this weekend and here they are:

Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots

Seems like the Broncos and Patriots are always in big games this time of year. This will be a special game with the return of Wes Welker, who was a lifelong Patriot until he signed with Denver in the off season. Welker is good to go for this game despite having a concussion from last Sunday Nights game versus the Chiefs. It will be interesting to see if he gets booed or cheered in his return.

For the Broncos, they handed the Chiefs their first loss and look to stay as the 1st seed in the AFC playoffs. Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense makes scoring lots of points look easy. In every game this year, the Broncos have scored at least 25 points and in 5 of those games they have scored at least 40 points. For any team to defeat the Broncos, they have to be ready to score at least 35 points. Denver should be able to score on New England, since the Patriots have injuries in the front line and also in the secondary. The Broncos defense played better last week, but I feel they can be scored on and Brady will look to exploit that.

The key for the Patriots is time of possession. The Patriots have scored lots of points this year, but they don't score quickly. They mostly use dink and dunk passes which leads to drives that last at least 10 plays. New England has to keep the Broncos offense off the field and score touchdowns, not field goals. Look for Gronkowski to have some huge catches and cause fits for the Broncos defense. I believe the Patriots will pull this game out late in the 4th quarter. Brady has been exceptional with this offense of no names and injuries to his receiving corp. Ammendola and Gronkowski are back so look for the real Patriots offense to shine in the win.
Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants

So all the Giants fans who quit on their team when they were 0-6 are back on the bandwagon since big Blue has a chance to tie the Cowboys if they defeat them this Sunday. This is how Dallas has played for many seasons. They always have a lot of talent and many experts pick them to win the division in the off season.. Even with all that praise, Dallas right now sits with a 5-5 record and if they lose to the Giants, they will be tied with them! Romo is having a good season and DeMarco Murray is running the ball well, but Dez Bryant is no where to be found. Bryant had just 2 catches in a game this year and hasn't been used properly. I believe he gets back on track in this game and torches the Giants secondary.

The Giants have come a long way since starting the season 0-6. Contributing to the 4 game win streak is the defense playing well, a soft schedule and Eli Manning not turning the ball over as much. The Giants have a chance to get even with Dallas, but it will be tough. The defense has played well, but who have they played? Raiders, Green Bay (no Rodgers,) Vikings and Eagles (Barkley starting.) What do these teams have in common, the quarterbacks are not good. I'm not trying to take any credit away from the Giants defense, but when you play a team with a weak QB, you tend to play a lot better and the stats get inflated. Romo is obviously better than all of the four quarterbacks the Giants have played, so this will be a true test for them.

This game will be a shoot out and look for both Romo and Eli to have great games. Of course Romo will do a dumb play towards the end of the game and that will be the talk of the town. The injuries will be too much for the Dallas defense to keep the Giants offense down. Who would have thought at week 12 the Giants and Cowboys would be tied at 5-6.

With the Chiefs finally losing this weekend, the 1972 Miami Dolphins are still the only National Football League team to win the Super Bowl with a perfect season. Go ahead and pop the champagne boys!

This was a great weekend of football and the pressure of making the playoffs is in full effect. I went 11-3 this week and got the score of the Giants vs. Packers game exactly right at 27-13. The 3 big games this weekend were great and lived up to the hype. Let's take a look:

Broncos 27, Chiefs 17

This was a battle for first place in the AFC West and the Chiefs trying to stay undefeated. I was impressed with Kansas City even though they lost. Their defense held down the Denver offense for big portions of the night and allowed the Chiefs to hang around for most of the game. Like I said in my prediction, Alex Smith couldn't match what Peyton Manning did during the night and Jamaal Charles didn't so very much, so the offense was stagnant causing the Chiefs to suffer their first loss of the season. The Broncos made some big plays on offense and their defense really stepped up and played like a Super Bowl contender defense should. The Broncos offensive line played well against the great front four of the Chiefs and that allowed Manning to stand comfortable in the pocket and complete passes to his receivers. Denver has so many ways to beat teams, it's next to impossible to stop them the whole night. The running game with Moreno is really balancing the offense nicely and adding more problems to opposing defenses. The Broncos have 2 tough games coming up, at New England this Sunday Night then at Arrowhead Stadium to face the Chiefs again. These next 2 games will determine if the Broncos can get home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Panthers 24, Patriots 20

Cam Newton has arrived folks! He played one of his best games of his career and lead the Panthers to another impressive win over the Patriots. Newton threw for 209 yards and 3 TD's and also made some key 3rd down conversions with his legs while rushing for 62 total yards. The Panthers defense didn't play their best, but they disrupted the Patriots offense the whole 1st half and stopped New England on the final play of the game that sealed the win. Tom Brady was in position to win the game on the last drive, but couldn't do it due to a controversial call. The Patriots running game was a reason they were in the game the whole night with a balance attack with Ridley, Blount and Vereen. This really helped the offense and allowed the play action to work with Brady and his receivers. The Patriots host the Broncos this Sunday and their offense has to be more efficient and their defense needs to play a lot better. This game will be another classic match up between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Saints 23, 49ers 20

The 49ers defense played great, but the lack of a passing game and a stifled running game allowed the Saints to pull out the victory. The Niners defense was pumped all game, holding the Saints to just field goals in the 2nd half and Brees to just 1 touchdown pass. But for the 2nd week in a row, the Niners passing game didn't show up. Kaepernick threw for only 127 yards and the Saints defense held Frank Gore to only 48 yards rushing. Even with those terrible offensive numbers, the 49ers were still in the game and if the controversial roughing the passer penalty on Drew Brees had not been called, they would have most likely pulled out the victory. The Saints didn't play their best on Sunday, but still managed to win the game. As long as New Orleans plays at home, they will be tough to beat. The defense for the Saints plays a different game at home than on the road and their offense just feeds off the crowd. The Saints have a balanced offense with over 10 players getting catches and that forces defenses to scramble to cover them all. The Saints play in Seattle in a few weeks and that will be a true test on how good this Saints team is.

Those were the 3 monster games that have changed the playoff race and every week there will be more and more games that will add chaos to the playoff picture. But of course with good games comes moments during a game that are controversial and drive fans crazy. Here are 2 examples:

Example #1
The Saints versus 49ers game had a bad call on a sack of Drew Brees that was called roughing the passer. Drew Brees was sacked, fumbled the ball and the 49ers recovered, which would have changed that game dramatically. The refs flagged Ahmad Brooks for roughing Brees because he tackled him by throwing his arms around his neck. Brooks didn't contact Brees' helmet and it looked like a clean sack, but even tackling a QB around the neck is considered roughing the passer.

Example #2
The Patriots versus Panthers came down to a final play that will be talked about for a long time. Tom Brady threw an interception in the end zone as time expired, but a flag was thrown for pass interference. This would have given the Patriots one more play even though time had expired. After a conference with all the refs, the flag was picked up and the Panthers won 24-20. The refs explained after the game that Gronkowski didn't attempt to catch the ball and the ball thrown by Brady was considered un-catchable.

Both of these calls I believe are judgement calls by the referees. Of course after the game the refs explained their reasoning for the call by using a rule that doesn't make any sense. The refs called the pass interference penalty because the ball wasn't catch able and Gronkowski didn't make an effort to catch the ball. When you watch the replay, the reason Gronkowski couldn't make a play on the ball is that Kuechly, the Panthers linebacker, was hugging Gronk for most of the play. In a game that close and pivotal to the playoff picture, the ref who threw the penalty flag immediately did see something and should have stood by his initial decision.

For the roughing the passer penalty on Drew Brees, how are defenders suppose to sack quarterbacks anymore? If you can't contact them above the shoulders or touch their helmet or take their legs out, that doesn't leave many areas to tackle them. In the NFL now, the quarterback position in the most valuable player on the field. When a team loses their start quarterback like Rodgers for the Packers, the team usually starts playing bad football and that's not good for the league. When the elite quarterbacks are on the field playing well, that's great business for the NFL. So defenders have to understand that elite quarterbacks like Brees, Manning, Rodgers and Brady will be protected at all cost. I don't agree with the call on Ahmad Brooks, but the league has changed and the quarterback position will be overly protect at all times. Defenders must adjust to this new era of football or else many more penalties and possible fines will be called on them.

Here are the 3 MONSTER games for Week 11:

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

The undefeated Chiefs look to impress the football world by trying to take down the Broncos at Mile High stadium on Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs are coming off a bye week and have been able to game plan for Denver for 2 weeks. Alex Smith will have to make some big plays during the game. He hasn't had to make big plays all year due to a great running game with Jamaal Charles and a superb defense. I am not sure if he can do it since he threw for 0 touchdowns in 5 games this year. The combo of a great defense and running game has masked the play of Alex Smith. The running game will do well, but I don't think Alex Smith can match what Peyton Manning is going to do. For the Broncos, is their defense going to improve? Can it stop a good running game like the Chiefs? Peyton Manning is beat up a little, so the offensive line for the Broncos must push back the great front line of the Chief defense. If the Chiefs can get to Manning early and often, they have a shot at winning the game. Blocking for the running game and the offensive line is the main focus for the Broncos. The Chiefs will battle all the way till the end, but some big runs by Moreno and a key turnover by Alex Smith will put the Broncos in first place in the AFC West.

Chiefs 20

New England Patriots @ Carolina Panthers

This is going to be a fun game to watch. A re-match of Super Bowl 38 and a chance for Carolina to again prove they are a contender for the Super Bowl this year. The Patriots are coming off a bye and playing good football despite having a core of receivers that no one knows about. Tom Brady is doing a remarkable job with this offense, but will have his hands full with a stout Panthers defense. The Panthers only give up 82 yards rushing and 201 yards passing per game, so the Patriots offense will find it hard to score points in this game. Carolina has a chance to win another big game and take down the mighty Tom Brady all on Monday Night Football. The Panthers defense is anchoring this team and will cause chaos in this game. Cam Newton is playing good football, but will have to take his game to the next level to win against the Patriots. Look for Steve Smith to make tough catches in critical situations and Ted Gin to make some big plays on special teams. It's good to see a team like Carolina take that next step after beating the 49ers in San Francisco. Even with that big win I see Tom Brady doing just enough to pull out the win. The Patriots defense will step up and put enough pressure on Cam Newton to make him turn the ball over at a critical moment in the game.

Patriots 19, Panthers 10

San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints

The Superdome will be rocking for the this pivotal match up in the NFC. Will the 49er passing game come back from the dead? Kaepernick must find Boldin and Davis a lot to even keep up with the Saints. The Niners running game of Gore and Hunter is running wild and look for that to continue in this game. Boldin and Davis have to have between 15-20 catches or else the 49ers are headed for the 2nd straight loss. The Saints, after crushing the Cowboys, have a tough 49ers defense to deal with and have to find different ways to score points on them. Sproles played a great game last week and I believe he is the x-factor in this game. The 49ers will have the receivers covered and running game slowed down, but Sproles will catch some short passes and turn them into big gains and make it tough for the 49er defenders to tackle him. Drew Brees is playing the best football in all the league and will continue making great plays in this game. The 1st quarter is huge for the 49ers and they need to get the passing game going early and let Kaepernick run wild! The Saints will battle the 49er defense for the 1st half, but explode in the 2nd half and win the game.

Let the real fun begin . . .

I went 7-6 this past weekend with some surprising losses from the Colts, Titans and Dolphins. Congrats to Jacksonville and Tampa Bay for getting their first win of the season. There will be no 0-16 team this year, so the race for the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft will be a battle till the end of the season.

The biggest win was the Panthers going into San Francisco and winning 10-9. The Carolina defense shut down Kaepernick and the Niner passing game to the tune of 46 total net yards passing. The Panthers offense did just enough to score 10 points and sent a statement to the league that they are for real. The Panthers have another opportunity to send shock waves through he league by hosting the Patriots on Monday Night football this week.

The Saints blew up the Cowboys on Sunday night and I think most people assumed it would happen. The Saints are unbeatable at home and host the 49ers in a critical NFC match up this Sunday at the Superdome. The Cowboys are on a bye and it comes at the best time. Their offense is sputtering, Dez Bryant only had 2 catches against the Saints, and Romo looked so dis-interested throughout the game. Since Dallas isn't running away with the division, this is great news for the Eagles, Giants and Redskins.

The Eagles are tied for first place in the NFC East and look to be playing the best ball in that division. The Lions are in first place in the NFC North and looking like the best team in that division. The Aaron Rodgers injury has changed that division and Detroit is looking like they will prevail as the division champ.

Seattle destroyed Atlanta in their own building and since the Niners lost, Seattle has a 2 game lead in the NFC West. All the teams in the NFC better hope the Seahawks stumble a few times so they don't get home field advantage in the playoffs. Playing in Seattle will be next to impossible, especially since it will be bad weather and an atmosphere that is similar to a college game.

Here are my Week 11 Power Rankings:

1. Denver Broncos- Chiefs at home this week, Peyton battling injury, home field will be huge this Sunday
2. Seattle Seahawks- solid win in ATL, Wilson running offense better, Harvin to play Sunday
3. Kansas City Chiefs- are they for real? defense must get to Peyton, will Bowe arrest cause distraction
4. New England Patriots- Brady is amazing, next 2 games (at Panthers, home vs Broncos) will show a lot
5. New Orleans Saints- bounce back game, have to get homefield, too many weapons, defense is steady
6. San Francisco 49ers- pressure on Kap, will any WR step up? running game and defense anchoring team
7. Detroit Lions- first place Lions! Offense keeps rolling, defense making plays, trap game in Pittsburgh?
8. Indianapolis Colts- holy loss Batman! Luck & offense took day off, weak defense, true contender?
9. Carolina Panthers- monster win in SF, defense is crazy good, next big game hosting Pats Monday Night
10. Cincinnati Bengals- tough 2 losses in OT, gotta win close games, division tightens a little
11. Dallas Cowboys- Absolute ass whipping in NO, typical Dallas season so far, Dez not involved at all
12. Chicago Bears- injuries hurting team again, Cutler out Sunday, Marshall best receiver with Megatron
13. Green Bay Packers- No Rodgers means no wins, defense is absent, Rodgers still few weeks away
14. New York Jets- defense is good, offense can run well, will expectations now hurt the team?
15. Arizona Cardinals- no one talks about them, great defense, offense shows some signs, tough out
16. San Diego Chargers- hung with Broncos, tough out for teams, Rivers/running game pacing the team
17. Baltimore Ravens- back in playoff hunt, offense needs consistency, why can't they use Ray Rice right?
18. Miami Dolphins- what a disaster, still in playoff hunt, where is running game? tricky games ahead
19. Philadelphia Eagles-tied for first in division, Foles looks great, defense playing better, fly Eagles fly
20. Cleveland Browns- still in playoff hunt, defense is stingy, can Campbell lead them to playoffs?

Out: Giants, Steelers, Rams, Titans, Bills, Redskins, Vikings, Texans, Falcons, Raiders, Jaguars, Bucs

When Chaos Takes Over:

Before I release my predictions for Week 10, I want to give an update on the disastrous situation going on with the Miami Dolphins. Everyone has heard the main part of the story and both Martin and Incognito are not part of the Dolphins for the foreseeable future. The story is now looking into the culture inside the Dolphins organization. There are reports of the Dolphins GM, Jeff Ireland, telling Incognito to punch Martin if necessary to toughen him up. This kind of report is making Miami look like a toxic place to play. When you read blogs, newspapers, or watch ESPN, you get a lot of different perspectives. Some think Martin is a snitch, some think Incognito is an asshole and some are in the middle blaming both sides.

As I see it, this is a huge moment for the whole Dolphins franchise. If this kind of behavior is acceptable within the Dolphins locker room, who wants to go play there? I know a NFL locker room is different than any other work place with strong language and behavior, but shouldn't there be a limit?

Does anyone think racial slurs or personal attacks were accepted in the Baltimore Ravens locker room while Ray Lewis was the team leader? What about the Broncos locker room with Peyton Manning? Or Drew Brees in New Orleans? The answer is hell no!! The failure of leadership and accountability in the Dolphins organization is the biggest problem right now. A great example of this is a lot of the Dolphins players still support Richie Incognito and think he is a great guy and can't believe he would leave those insane voicemails and texts messages. Only QB Ryan Tannehill and offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie have mentioned the idea of Jonathan Martin returning to the Dolphins in the future.

Like I said earlier this week, I hope this fuels the team to play well on Monday Night and for the rest of the season. All the players in that locker room, the coaches and executives need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if this is the type of atmosphere that will create a championship team. I am embarrassed as a fan right now. As more and more information surfaces daily, the Dolphins franchise has to figure ways not to sink deeper and deeper into embarrassment.

Week 10 Predictions!

Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints

A big game for both teams. The Saints, coming off a bad loss against the Jets, look to dominate the Cowboys in the Superdome on Sunday Night Football. Last week, the Saints played without Sproles and Colston, which are big parts of their offense, and it showed that they need those two players on the field to win. This week, Sproles and Colston will play and look for New Orleans to put up a lot of points. The Cowboys, barely beating the Vikings at home last week, look to upset the Saints in New Orleans. The Dallas defense is second to last in yards allowed per game and that will only get worse against a pissed off Saints offense. Look for Romo and the offense to put points on the boards and stay with the Saints for a few quarters, but I don't believe the "Boys will hang with the Saints in the 2nd half. This is a strong bounce back game for New Orleans as they look for the huge match up at home the following week against the 49ers.

Saints 34, Cowboys 21

Carolina Panthers at San Francisco 49ers

This is going to be a fun game to watch, especially if you like defense. The Carolina defense has surprised the league and looks to make a statement against a top notch running game by the 49ers. Cam Newton has been playing great football and not turning the football over. The running game with DeAngelo Williams has stepped up and balanced the Panther offense. The 49ers are on a 5 game winning streak and playing some of the best football in the league. Frank Gore is running the ball hard and efficient and Kaepernick is doing enough to make the 49ers a strong contender for the Super Bowl. The Niner defense is back to playing nasty and tough football and will make it hard for Newton and the Panther offense to move the ball.. I am excited to see if Cam Newton can take that next step and turn the Panthers into an elite team in the NFL. The Niner defense, with a loud home crowd, will cause a few turnovers by Newton and will make it extremely tough to score. Frank Gore will grind out over 100 yards and Kaepernick will make some big plays with his legs and clutch throws to Vernon Davis.

49ers 23, Panthers 13

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

With Aaron Rodgers out for the Packers for a while, the door for both the Bears and Lions to step up into 1st place is wide open. The Lions, coming off a bye, is an offense that can explode at any time. With Megatron (Calvin Johnson) dominating every secondary and Reggie Bush coming out of the backfield as a factor, the Bears defense are going to have their hands full all day. Stafford will have a good game and make some plays that will continue drives for the Lions and put pressure on a suspect Bears defense. The Bears get their QB Jay Cutler back and another big game will be coming from Brandon Marshall. This is a tough game to pick cause both teams have played well and win games in different ways. The Lions offense has more power and Cutler might be a little shaky during his first game back.

Lions 27, Bears 24

Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers

If you like offense, this is the game for you. The Broncos, averaging an astounding 42.9 points per game, are looking to start their tough 4 game stretch with a win. The Broncos have an incredible offense, but their issue is defense. They are giving up 27.2 points per game, tied for 7th worse in the league. That has to improve in order for the Broncos to stay as a top Super Bowl contender. The Chargers can score and Phillip Rivers is in the running for comeback player of the year. The running game of Matthews and Woodhead is balancing the offense very well. The game will depend on the Chargers defense creating turnovers by the high powered Bronco offense. This is a tough task for the Chargers and will be in the game till the end, but won't be able to pull out the victory.

Broncos 38, Chargers 31

THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!

I would like to say thank you to everyone that reads my blog!! I hope it informs everyone on what is going on in the NFL. I know all of you are busy and on the move, so when you have time to read my blog I really appreciate it. Thank you once again and leave me a message here or on Facebook if you have any ideas on how to improve the blog!

I went 9-3 in the week 9 games and was close with predicting the exact score of the Panthers/Falcons game and Chargers/Redskins game. The Saints losing to the Jets was the biggest surprise of the weekend and also the Buccaneers beating the Seahawks in Seattle for most of the game was a shocker too. It is getting very hard to predict the outcomes of these games cause the NFL has so much parody in it. The Saints are a lot better than the Jets, but yet they looked terrible and actually lost the game. Nick Foles threw 7 TD passes (tied an NFL record for most TD's thrown ever) in a win against the Raiders in Oakland and an injury to Aaron Rodgers has cause mass panic in the state of Wisconsin. All 32 teams in the NFL better play hard every game no matter what the competition is because any team can be beaten at any time.

Power Rankings for Week 10:

1. Denver Broncos- tough division games start, Chiefs game in 2 weeks, can they start rolling again?
2. Seattle Seahawks- survived Bucs game, Saints and 49ers games coming up, they need Percy Harvin!
3. Kansas City Chiefs- 9-0 is impressive! Bye this week, Broncos game in 2 weeks will answer questions
4. Indianapolis Colts- big win in Houston, Wayne will be missed, Richardson struggling, Luck is elite
5. San Francisco 49ers- Panthers game big, Saints and Seahawks looming, Crabtree practicing is huge
6. New England Patriots- statement win Sunday, Brady amazing with offense, running game getting better
7. New Orleans Saints- bad loss in NY, out of sync outside, can they win in Seattle? gotta get home field
8. Cincinnati Bengals- tough loss in Miami, gotta be consistent on both sides, division very weak
9. Green Bay Packers- Rodgers out least 3 weeks, schedule not hard, Lacy anchoring running game
10. Dallas Cowboys- gotta blow out bad teams, offense is sill clunky, where has defense gone?
11. Detroit Lions- big opportunity with Rodgers injury, offense so explosive, gotta win on the road
12. Carolina Panthers- they are for real, big test in SF this Sunday, can Newton succeed in a big game?
13. Chicago Bears- season saving win, Marshall is a top WR, can McCown continue his success?
14. San Diego Chargers- tough loss on the road, huge test against Denver Sunday, Woodhead is x-factor
15. Miami Dolphins- great win vs Bengals, can team rally around all this crap and win Monday Night?
16. Tennessee Titans- Locker looked good, good win on the road, Chris Johnson finally shows up!
17. New York Jets- surprise of the season, running game is good, need to show consistency
19. Baltimore Ravens- will they make playoffs? lots of missing pieces, Flacco/Ray Rice need improving
20. Arizona Cardinals- defense is good, tough division, will cause chaos in playoff race

Out: Eagles, Redskins, Raiders, Texans, Falcons, Giants,
Steelers, Rams, Bills, Vikings, Jaguars, Bucs
Where Has Respect Gone:

I am sure most of you have read or heard about the situation going on with the Miami Dolphins. Jonathan Martin, an offensive lineman for the Dolphins, handed over voice mails and texts from fellow lineman Richie Incognito that included racial slurs, threats and profane language. The Dolphins have suspended Incognito and Martin has filed a players misconduct complaint.

This is such a messed up situation. At what point does a grown man like Incognito think its right to bully someone by using racial slurs and threats! Bullying is a big problem in the world today and to hear it happen to this extreme inside a professional sports organization is crazy. Of course there are incidents with other teams that involve hazing like getting a weird haircut or having to carry another teammates helmet and pads, which is fine, but making it personal and using racial slurs is unacceptable.

Did coach Joe Philbin really know anything? He has taken responsibility for what occurred, but is it too late? Does he not have control of his locker room? Did the offensive line coach or any other coaches see any inappropriate behavior? As a coach you have to have your players back and always be on the look out for assholes like Richie Incognito. Another nugget for you, Incognito was part of a few players that were considered the Captains of the team. Yeah, the guy doing all this terrible stuff had a high ranking with his fellow teammates.

That shows where the state of the Dolphins are at. As a Dolphins fan, I am beyond upset and downright embarrassed. It's one thing to be embarrassed when your team plays bad football and doesn't win any games, but being embarrassed in this way is so disappointing. Stephen Ross, the Dolphins owner and Jeff Ireland, Dolphins GM, have to be held responsible as well. Is this the way the organization is run? Did they know anything of this situation before it went public? What about Martin's teammates? What did they know? If some of them knew what was going on and didn't say anything, they are part of the problem as well.

For a team or company to succeed in this world, fellow teammates or co-workers have to look out for one another and speak up when bad events occur. Incognito can let the door hit him in the ass and never show his face in Miami or the NFL again. He is a useless punk, a terrible person and someone that has no respect for any human being. I hope the entire Dolphins team rallies around one another to vow this never happens again and play well in Tampa this coming Monday Night.

First off, I would like to give a shout out to my Boston Red Sox for winning the 2013 World Series! It was a great series against the St. Louis Cardinals and provided one of the most memorable plays in World Series history, the obstruction call in Game 3. The Red Sox were picked by most people to finish dead last in their division this year. Considering the Bobby Valentine season last year, the beer and chicken incidents and the collapse in September of 2011, this was a dramatic change for a storied franchise. This team had a lot of grinder players that played hard everyday and just wanted to win. It was a lot of fun to watch them all year long and even better when they raised the World Series trophy on Wednesday October 30. Boston Strong!!

Here are my NFL predictions for Week 9:

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs are 8-0 and looking to take advantage of an injured Bills team. The Chiefs defense will play well and cause havoc for whoever starts at QB for Buffalo. Jamaal Charles will be the star of the game and Alex Smith will manage the offense like he has done all season. The Bills have scored a lot of points this season, but the Chiefs defense is solid and will slow them down.
Chiefs 24, Bills 13

Minnesota Vikings @ Dallas Cowboys
The Vikings are weak at the Quarterback position and Dallas will take advantage of that. I feel bad for Adrian Peterson and hopes he goes to a better team someday. Romo and his offense will have a break out game and run the score up. It will be a fun day in Big D.
Cowboys 34, Vikings 10

Tennessee Titans @ St. Louis Rams
The Titans have played good football this year and look to take advantage of an injured Rams team. The Rams defense played great against Seattle last Monday, but won't be as good this Sunday. Jake Locker returns at quarterback for the Titans and will have a great game. The Tennessee defense will shut down a weak Rams offense and cause them to commit several turnovers.
Titans 24, Rams 13

New Orleans Saints @ New York Jets
This could be a trap game for the Saints because they have games against Seattle and San Francisco coming up. Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham are unstoppable and look for Darren Sproles to play a huge role in this match up. The surprise Jets have a great front line on defense and feed off the fans at MetLife stadium. Look for the Jets to keep this a closer game thank most think until the 4th quarter. The Saints defense will make a few plays that will give them the win in New York.
Saints 27, Jets 14

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots
Will the Pittsburgh offense finally break out? Tom Brady is so good but his young receivers will have a tough time against a stiff Steeler defense. The Patriot defense will play well and do enough to make Big Ben and the Pittsburgh offense uncomfortable. Somehow, someway the Patriots, like always, will win the game.
Patriots 20, Steelers 13

The rest of my predictions are:

- Washington Redskins 27, San Diego Chargers 24

- Carolina Panthers 30, Atlanta Falcons 13

We are just around the mid way point of the 2013 season and this year has been crazy. So many games that were predicted by experts ended up finishing in the complete opposite direction. That's how the NFL will be from now on. Back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, there were teams like the 49ers, Steelers and Cowboys that were dynasties. They were the top teams for a long time and almost every year one of those teams made the Super Bowl. Obviously if you are a fan of those teams, you love it, but if you are not, it was so frustrating. Now, since the NFL installed a salary cap, every team has a shot to compete and make the playoffs. Since 2000, there has been over 10 different teams that have represented the NFC in the Super Bowl. In other sports, like baseball, you pretty much have the same 4-5 teams in each league making the playoffs like New York, Boston, St Louis, and Atlanta. This parody in the NFL is what makes it so awesome and keeps fans engaged 365 days of the year. Think about this, game 1 of the World Series between 2 great baseball towns, Boston and St. Louis, got a 9.4 TV viewing rating. The Monday night game between the Giants and Vikings, which was a terrible game, got a 9.5 TV viewing rating. How does that happen? The World Series is a historic event, so you would think it would be watched by more people than a bad football game. In the world today, fans of sports want fast paced action and games to last only a few hours. Baseball ratings are far below NFL ratings cause of the speed of the game and the lack of action during the game.

*Here are some observations from this weekends action*

Everyone has seen the blowup by Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys during their game versus Detroit on Sunday. Bryant was shouting at Tony Romo and the offensive coordinator about something and got very animated. I am torn about this display of emotion. The good thing about it is the intensity Bryant has to win the game and be more involved in it. The bad thing was the timing of the situation. At the point of the altercation with Romo and others, Dallas was playing a good game and beating the Lions, but Bryant wasn't fully involved in the game. When Detroit mad that crazy comeback, Bryant was in another heated argument with Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware. I'm sure the lack of involvement in the offense upset Bryant and caused the uproar on the sideline. The audio from the sidelines, released by NFL Films, picks up Bryant yelling positive messages to his teammates. Obviously frustration was pouring out from Bryant, but I love the intensity he has to be the main focal point of the offense. In a tight game you can't blow up on teammates on the sideline and expect to get away with it. Bryant needs to grow up and get control of his emotions for his teammates, fans and most of all, himself.

There was a display of stupidity and embarrassment on the Monday Night game between the Seahawks and Rams courtesy of Seahawks WR Golden Tate. Tate made a fabulous catch and ran it in for a touchdown which turned out to be the winning score. After Tate made the catch, he sprinted toward the end zone, but while the Rams defender tried to catch him, Tate decided to taunt him and wave his hand while running toward the end zone. Instead of being professional and respectful and just running straight for the score, this idiot decided to be a selfish guy and make the score all about him. This bothers me cause this Tate guy, who only has 32 receptions, 439 yards and 3 TD's through 8 games, stole the headline from the game. No talk about Seattle's and St. Louis's defense playing great or Zac Stacy running for 134 yards on a stout Seahawk defense. Just talk about a low end receiver who was only drafted cause he went to Notre Dame. Being respectful and acting like you have been there before goes a long way in the NFL and life.

I was going to analyze the great game between the Broncos and the Colts, but due to some serious sickness. I didn't see 1 play of the game, which pretty much means I was so sick I couldn't even watch football. Sorry to those that were looking for some analysis from that match-up.

I want to complain about fans that don't attend home games. Last week I suggested that Jacksonville think about relocating mostly because their fan base hasn't supported them for so long. Why stay in an area that fans won't come to every game no matter if your record is 10-0 or 0-10? Here is what I am talking about. While I was watching the Dolphins/Bills game this past Sunday, I took the picture below right as the 2nd half was starting:

Anyone notice something weird? OK, I understand at halftime fans have to use the bathroom, get another beer, get some popcorn, or some people are just a little late getting back to their seat. But the emptiness of these seats is beyond ridiculous. The Dolphins had scored a touchdown as the half ended and had a lot of momentum going into the 2nd half, but yet the fans couldn't get back in time for the kickoff. The brightness of the empty orange seats is so embarrassing as a Dolphin fan. To me, this says Dolphins fans don't really care about giving their team the "home field" advantage when an opposing team comes into town. When teams have to go play in Seattle, 90% of the time that team is going to lose no matter how good the team is. Seattle's home field is incredible and causes so much chaos for the visiting team. Bottom line, teams have to have a solid fan base that will go to all the home games no matter what. If fans aren't willing to do that, let another city have a chance at supporting that franchise. Seeing what my Dolphins home games have become makes me sick to my stomach, literally.

Wow, I was way off on my analysis of the Cowboys/Eagles game. I thought it would be high scoring, fun to watch and the Eagles would win. I was wrong on all those fronts. The Cowboys defense played a monster game despite DeMarcus Ware being injured and shut down the Eagles offense all day. McCoy only had 81 total yards for the game and Foles got knocked out with a head injury in the 2nd half. Dez Bryant had 8 catches for 110 yards and really sprung the Dallas offense in the 2nd half. Romo had 2 picks during the game which surprised me because he should have sliced that defense up like he did to Denver. The Dallas offense will get back on track with a week 8 game vs Detroit. A Great win by Dallas and they take over sole possession of 1st place in the NFC East. Another loss at home for the Eagles, extending their home losing streak to 9 games. Not much love at home games for Eagles fans in the city of brotherly love.

Here are my Power Rankings:

1. Seattle Seahawks: Percy Harvin returns, offense will have pop, defense is great, home field is huge
2. Denver Broncos- incredible offense, some O-line issues, defense gives up way to many points
3. Kansas City Chiefs- still undefeated, week 11 looms against Denver, Charles is top RB in the league
4. Indianapolis Colts- huge win vs Broncos, loss of Wayne will hurt, can Luck push team to the top?
5. New Orleans Saints- can't be beat at home, Graham has to get healthy, defense underrated
6. San Francisco 49ers- running game is solid, Kap throwing better, still have to catch Seattle
7. Cincinnati Bengals- another 3 point win, AJ Green is great, defense needs to get better
8. Green Bay Packers- Offense is rolling, defense playing better, can they overcome Cobb injury?
9. New England Patriots- lost to the Jets? Injuries are taking toll, can they beat top teams?
10. Dallas Cowboys- Defense was great in Philly, Romo is underrated, will running game hold team back?
11. San Diego Chargers- Surprise of the season, Rivers is efficient, defense has spark, tough division
12. Detroit Lions- Tough loss at the end, where is Bush? defense needs to hold, division is within reach
13. Chicago Bears- no Cutler will doom them, similar to last year, defense must anchor team
14. Baltimore Ravens- playing bad football, sloppy at Pitt, Flacco regret giant contract with no receivers?
15. Miami Dolphins- lost to Bills at home? fans won't go to games, will they ever take next step?
16. Tennessee Titans- Locker playing again is big, gotta beat Indy, will they take next step
17. Carolina Panthers- team is hot, defense is great, Newton balancing offense, compete with Saints?
18. New York Jets- great win vs Pats, defense struggling, Geno doing OK, are they for real?
19. Philadelphia Eagles- bad loss vs 'Boys, Vick coming back, McCoy has to run wild
20. Pittsburgh Steelers- 2 wins in a row, defense holding team up, Big Ben needs bigger plays

Out: Falcons, Browns, Cardinals, Rams, Redskins, Texans, Raiders, Bills, Vikings, Giants, Jaguars, Bucs
The best game this weekend is the Sunday Night game between the Broncos and the Colts in Indianapolis. This is the return of Peyton Manning to Indy for the first time since joining the Broncos. The Colts organization will have a ceremony before the game honoring Manning for everything he has done for the town. I don't understand what the Colts organization is doing. I understand Peyton is why they have a new stadium and why the Colts are still In Indianapolis, but why have a ceremony now? Can't it wait till he retires? With all this hoopla, what does Andrew Luck and his teammates think? This is a huge game for these teams and the only thing people are talking about is the Manning ceremony. If I was a Colts fan, I would always love Manning for what he did, but this new Colts team is good and looking to take that next step into an elite NFL team. All the fawning and crying over Manning in a ceremony should wait till he retires.

I will only analyze 1 game this week due to the Red Sox playing in the American League Championship Series and making me stress for 4 hours every night.

I have a new discussion this week in which I will give some advice to the 2 worse teams in the NFL,
the Jaguars and the Giants.

1. Dear Jacksonville Jaguars,

First thing you guys need to do is sign Tim Tebow. I know he won't be a good quarterback and won't lead you to a Super Bowl, but as a bad team, the most important thing is making money. Having Tim Tebow on your team would increase home game attendance and viewership across the country. Also, since Tebow played at the University of Florida and is from a town near Jacksonville, you already have Tebow-mania in your backyard. Sales on jerseys and other merchandise with Tebow's name or face on it would go through the roof . Two words, cha-ching!! Also, I would look at the possibility of relocating, maybe to Los Angeles. I know Jacksonville has nice weather, great golf courses and no state income tax, but it doesn't deserve a NFL team. No one attends the games, always a losing season, no history and the demographic doesn't fit the NFL very well.. Last time I checked, not many old people attend NFL games. I hope some Jaguar fans or management take some of my advice to help improve their organization.

2. Dear New York Football Giants,

If any Giants fan believes benching Eli Manning will help the team win is completely nuts. Manning is definitely having a bad year and deserves part of the blame for the Giants being 0-6, but benching him for a no name quarterback is ridiculous. What about your aging defense? Running game that can't stay healthy? There are so many issues with your team, so you can't just pin it on one thing. By the way Giants fans, how are those t-shirts you have that say Super Bowl champions from '08 and '12? Having 2 rings within 6 years must be the best feeling in the world. So what if you are having a crappy season. Consider the success you guys have had in recent years. Just ask a Jets fan about crappy seasons. Also, the whole team has to get younger. The defense is very old and slow and ranks dead last in points allowed (209 points through 6 games.) The Giants will continue their tough times ahead as the re-build their defense and re-structure the offense. With 2 Super Bowl titles in 6 years, I wouldn't worry too much as a Giants fan.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

This is a battle for sole possession of first place in the NFC East. The Cowboys offense played bad last week and also lost star running back DeMarco Murray. A balanced offense is huge for Dallas. Romo is a great quarterback (some of you probably disagree) and makes great plays, but he needs a running game. Romo's best game was against Denver when he threw for over 500 yards, but had Murray with him, making the Broncos have to account for him. Last weeks game against Redskins, Murray got hurt and all of a sudden Romo throws for under 200 yards. Balance is key for Dallas and since Murray isn't playing this Sunday, where will the balance come from. On the defensive side of the ball, Dallas will be without pro-bowler DeMarcus Ware. This will be a huge factor in the game and allow Philadelphia to run their offense more efficiently. Ware is a monster defensive end and causes chaos whenever he plays, so the loss of him will make the Dallas defensive suspect. The new Eagles offense has brought hope to those in Philadelphia. McCoy leads the league in rushing and DeSean Jackson is 2nd in the league in receiving yards. Those two playing so well is the reason Philly is tied for first place. Mike Vick has had a good year but got injured so back-up QB Nick Foles had to step in and has played even better than Vick. During his first start last week vs. Tampa Bay, he threw for 296 yards and 3 TD's and even ran for a TD. Many Eagle fans think Foles is better than Vick, so either way, Eagle fans are feeling good about the team.

The game this Sunday will be a classic Cowboys/Eagles game with lots of points, big plays, and hard hitting. Romo will have a good game, as well as Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. McCoy will rush for more than 100 yards and make some big plays in the passing game. Foles will play well and make a key play towards the end of the game. The Dallas defense will be scored on a lot due to injuries, especially to DeMarcus Ware. I don't think Romo will turn the ball over at the end of the game, but he does have a history of that, so I wouldn't be surprised. Cheers to Eagles fans for winning this game and taking over 1st place in NFC East.

Week 6 Conclusions

Another great weekend of football and more surprises that make the NFL so good. Patriots stun the Saints, Rams pummel the Texans, Broncos don't cover the spread against the Jaguars and the Chiefs are still undefeated.

For those Texans fans who cheered when Matt Schaub got injured, you are pathetic and useless. When teams are playing bad, especially the quarterback, fans want changes and most of the time they want the back-up QB to play. Fans have a right to boo anybody they want, but when an injury occurs and fans cheer because they don't like the player that's hurt, that crosses the line. Why be a fan like that? I've been to pro games and have seen drunken fans get in fights and what not over something they can't control. Fans don't throw the ball, they don't run the ball and they don't coach the team, so why act so indecent? If you think someone getting hurt is a good thing for your team, you need some help and need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

I went 2-2 this week in my picks and had the Saints win until Tom Brady became Hercules on the last drive of the game.

The 49ers defeated the Cardinals 32-20. The 49ers should have won by a lot more but they settled for field goals early instead of touchdowns. Finally the 49er passing game came alive! Kaepernick and Vernon Davis were on the same page all day. Kaepernick threw for 252 yards, 2 TD's, 1 Int and Vernon Davis caught 8 passes for 180 yards and 2 TD's. The San Francisco defense played great, causing 2 Int's and forcing 2 fumbles and confused Palmer and the Arizona passing game all day. The Cardinals defense played well in the early part of the game, but wore down as the game went on. The 49ers took possession of 2nd place in the NFC West at 4-2 and the Cardinals are tied for 3rd place in the West with the Rams at 3-3.

The Patriots beat the Saints 30-27 in a thrilling game at Foxboro. Tom Brady threw a TD pass with 5 seconds left in the game to win it for New England. Ridley ran the ball for 96 yards and 2 TD's and that helped balance the Patriot offense all day. The Saints controlled most of the game and thought they had it wrapped up with Brady threw an interception, but that was not the case. The shocking stat of the game was Jimmy Graham being held to 0 catches. That's right, 0 catches! In the NFL today, it is next to impossible for a player of Graham's caliber to get no catches in a game. Credit the Patriots defense for putting the clamps on Graham, but even with Graham having 0 catches, the Saints were in position to get the win. Here is some advice, never count out the Patriots in any game when Tom Brady is the quarterback.

The Chargers shut down the Colts on Monday Night football 19-9. Luck looked out of sync and the offense didn't seem to have any sense of urgency. I don't know if it was the coaches fault, but that isn't the Colts team that can compete for a Super Bowl title. Richardson looks terrible and if the running game doesn't get going, the Colts will struggle. The Chargers are surprising the league, due to Phillip Rivers playing great football. Matthews ran for 102 yards and Keenen Allen caught 9 passes for 107 yards and 1 TD. Less turnovers, short passes and a good running game has the Chargers competing in the AFC.

The Chiefs improved to 6-0 by defeating the Raiders 24-7. The Raiders hung around for the first half and kept the game close, but the Kansas City defense harassed Pryor all day (10 sacks, 3 INT's and a TD) which derailed the Oakland offense. Pryor is a decent QB, but the Chiefs defense was to tough. Pryor has to figure out how to better hi game in order to compete with the good teams. Jamaal Charles ran the ball well and his ability to catch the ball as well makes him a nightmare for teams. Typical Raiders, lots of hype going into the game, but fail to win in the end.

First thing, I would like to send prayers to Adrian Peterson and his family tonight. His 2-year old son died this afternoon from injuries sustained during an aggravated assault. The boyfriend of the child's mother has been charged with aggravated assault domestic and aggravated battery of an infant. It's a travesty and very disturbing to hear that a grown man would hurt a little child so much, he or she would die because of it. Having two kids myself, this situation makes so angry and sadden by what our world is coming to.

Not as many great games this weekend as last weekend, but now that we are already on week 6, the games get more and more important. This league is a week to week league. That means one week a team plays terrible, so the fans and media turn on them. Then the next week the team plays great, the fans and media jump back on the wagon. Perfect example is Geno Smith of the New York Jets. When the Jets played the Tennessee Titans in week 4, Smith played horrible, throwing many interceptions and looking very lost. Then the following Monday versus Atlanta, Geno played his best game leading the Jets to a shocking victory no one saw coming. The week leading up to the Atlanta game, the New York media (always crazy and out of control) bashed Geno Smith and even discussed benching him after the loss. But following the Monday night win, the New York newspapers declared Geno Smith as "A Star is Born." So you go from wanting to bench a guy after a terrible game (which will happens a lot for a rookie quarterback) to declaring him the next star for your football team. In my opinion, you shouldn't do that, especially for a rookie QB. There will be games he is off the chart good and many games where he is a dumpster fire. I know a win is a win, but going from one extreme critique of a player to another within just 7 days won't show fans and media the true potential of a QB or any other player.

Week 6 is upon us and it got started last night when the Bears defeated the Giants 27-21. Eli Manning threw 3 interceptions and one of them was returned for a touchdown. That makes 15 interceptions Manning has thrown through 6 games this season, which is an incredible amount of picks for an elite quarterback. The Giants defense played well against a good Bears offense in the 2nd half, but an interception at the end of the game thrown by Manning sealed the game for Chicago. Brandon Marshall had a great game and also Matt Forte. Cutler and the offense didn't turn the ball over, pushing the Bears into first place in the NFC North.

Here are the 4 games this weekend I believe are important this weekend:

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers

This is a battle for 2nd place in the competitive NFC West. The Cardinals, coming off a dominating performance over the Carolina Panthers, head into San Francisco with some confidence they can knock of the 49ers. The Arizona defense is playing at a high level and if they can slow down Frank Gore and the 49ers running game and make Kaepernick throw to to someone other than Boldin, the Cardinals will have a shot to win. In order to win, Palmer and Fitzgerald have to dominate a weaker secondary the 49ers have and be able to score at least 20 points. For the 49ers, the ability to destroy the Texans last Sunday and just throw for 120 yards baffles me. How can the 49ers believe they can beat the top teams by just throwing for just that much? Kaepernick and his WR have to get in sync and balance out their offense. This week will be tough with the Cardinal defense playing so well. Playing at Candlestick Park is a huge advantage for the 49ers and the defense will play well and disrupt the passing game of the Cardinals. This will be a defensive game and turnovers will determine the outcome.

Prediction: 49ers 20, Cardinals 10

New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots

The Saints continued there undefeated season by beating the Bears and head to Foxboro for another tough road game. I thought the Saints would trip up in Chicago, but they went in and dominated. It will be tough to duplicate that against the Patriots. The Saints are playing great football, especially on the road. This game starts at 4 eastern, so the weather will be a factor in this game, but I don't believe it will matter. As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they will be able to win any game. Gronkowski is suppose to play, but that hasn't been official yet. If he plays, the Patriots have a chance to defeat the Saints. If he doesn't, the Patriots will struggle to keep up with New Orleans. This will be a fun game to watch and give a serious challenge for the New England defense against that high power Saints offense. Can Tom Brady and all his new receivers keep up with the Saints? I don't believe they can, it will be a tight game till the end, but too much offense by the Saints will make them 6-0.

Prediction: Saints 27, Patriots 17

Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers

This will be Andrew Luck's first Monday night game and it will showcase a team on the rise. The Colts have had so much luck (pardon the pun) with Quarterbacks since 1996, first Peyton and now Andrew Luck, the fans have to be so thrilled. The whole Colts team is clicking and will continue to roll for a Monday night audience. Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton are perfect receivers for Luck and Richardson will run well on a suspect San Diego defense. The Chargers are playing surprisingly well for a team that had no expectations. Mr. Interception last year Phillip Rivers has gone back to his old days and playing really well. The new head coach Mike McCoy has turned the team around and made San Diego relevant again. Rivers and Antonio Gates have gone back in time and playing like the old days. The Charger offense has played well, but it won't be able to keep up with Luck. Andrew Luck's first Monday night game will be successful and keep the Colts in first place in the AFC South.

Prediction: Colts 30, Chargers 17

Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

I know, why am I talking about the Oakland Raiders? The haven't done crap since losing the Super Bowl in 2003 and honestly, they are the Raiders. For some reason though, since Terrelle Pryor has started for them, they look like a decent football team. He has running ability and makes plays for the team to win ball games. Going into Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will be a true test for Pryor and the Raiders. The Chiefs defense causes many turnovers and confuses many offenses. Alex Smith has been able to manage the offense and not turn the ball over, helping the Chiefs to their 5-0 record. Jamaal Charles has been incredible running the ball and catching passes and turning them into big plays. Dwayne Bowe hasn't been as good as his contract says he should be, so that needs to get fixed in order for the Chiefs to challenge the Broncos for the division. This will be a good game to see what Pryor can do against the Chiefs defense. Pryor will have some success, but not enough to knock Kansas City from the ranks of the unbeaten. Jamaal Charles will have a huge game and Bowe will step up and make some great catches.

Prediction: Chiefs 24, Raiders 10
The Un-Predictable National Football League

What a weekend of NFL football! From the Broncos/Cowboys high scoring game to the Jets beating the Falcons in Atlanta, the only conclusion I can come up with after a weekend like this is that you can't predict the NFL anymore. Unless you are betting on the Denver Broncos this year, every other team can win or lose against any team on any weekend no matter what. Perfect example are the Jets winning in Atlanta. No one saw that coming and everybody predicted a huge blowout to boot. But yet the Jets find a way to win and that gives hope to other teams that you can win on any given Sunday.

I analyzed 4 games this past weekend and I got 3 out of 4 right! That's a great start to my predictions, so lets see what happen in those 4 games:

The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Seattle Seahawks 34-28. This was a great game that showed how good the Colts are. This year, Indy has beaten the 49ers in San Francisco and now beat Seattle, so don't sleep on the Colts anymore. Andrew Luck is the real deal and his receivers Wayne and Hilton have stepped up huge for him and once Richardson knows the offense, the Colts are ready to play with Denver. Seattle is a great team and almost pulled out another late win. I was shocked that Seattle's defense allowed over 30 points. I know teams play different on the road than at home, but with a dominant defense that Seattle has, I was amazed at how easily they were scored on. At 4-1, the Seahawks are still in 1st place and will continue to be a Super Bowl contender, especially if they can get home field in the playoffs.

The Denver Broncos defeated the Dallas Cowboys 51-48. This was a fantastic game and a great watch for all fans. The Broncos are a machine offensively. Peyton has the offense rolling to perfection and too many weapons makes them unstoppable. Manning finally threw an interception, so he is mortal after all. I've never seen an offense like this and it makes Denver the clear cut favorite to win it all. I was impressed with Dallas and how they were able to keep up with Denver. The Cowboys were in perfect position to win the game, but somehow Tony Romo always turns the ball over at a crucial point that causes the 'Boys to lose the game. Even though Dallas lost, I like how they are playing and will win their division since all the other teams aren't good.

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 22-9. This game would have been a lot closer had Calvin Johnson played. He was a late scratch form the game and that really hurt the Lions chances at stopping their losing streak against Green Bay in the state of Wisconsin. Stafford was off his game all day and the absence of Megatron had an effect on Reggie Bush as well. The Packers were able to focus on Bush and make someone else on the Lions try to beat them. The Packers played decent this past Sunday and somehow still won by double digits. With the exception of a huge TD from Rodgers to James Jones, the Packers offense had to settle for 5 field goals by Mason Crosby. I expected a better showing by the Packers offense, especially from Nelson and Cobb, so they have to get that fixed to become a contender in the tough NFC.

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Chicago Bears 26-18. I thought the Bears would win because they had the home field and it would have made a huge statement to the league about the Bears. At 3-2. the Bears are tied for first and will continue to be a good team and win a lot of games this year. I also believed the Saints would have trouble in the elements of rain and wind, but they did not. Now the Saints are 1 of 3 undefeated teams and have sent a message to the league that they are back to top form and a force to be reckoned with.

Yesterday, Week 5 of the NFL season started and the Cleveland Browns beat the Buffalo Bills 37-24. Browns got a late interception and returned it for a touchdown sealing the victory. In the victory, the Browns lost their new starting Quarterback Brian Hoyer for the season due to an ACL injury. It wasn't the best teams playing on Thursday night, but hey, it's football and look out, the Browns have won 3 in a row and sit in first place in the AFC North.

Also on the main page of my blog, I have posted the top 5 Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Receivers. I have listed the players I feel are important to the teams success. The list will have players with great stats or not very many, I feel there are vital players to a team that don't get praised for. Let me know if you think a player should or should't be on there and list who you would put on there.

Each week, I will list the top 4 games of and analyze the outcome for each one. This is a great weekend of football so it was tough choosing only 4 of them. And off we go . . . .

New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears

The Saints, who are 4-0, enter Soldier Field as 1 point favorite over the Bears. Coming off a monster game by Drew Brees, the Saints look to continue their perfect season. Darren Sproles was un-stoppable last Monday Night (142 total yards, 2 TD) and his ability to run and catch out of the backfield gives the Saints a deadly weapon. Jimmy Graham is simply a beast and won AFC Offensive Player of the Month (27 Receptions, 458 yards, 6 TD's) and will continue to cause problems for any defenses. Drew Brees has been on fire so far, but has tough match up against a fierce Chicago defense on the road.

The Bears, coming off their first loss in Detroit, are primed to hand the Saints their first loss. New head coach Marc Trestman has changed the culture and style of the Chicago offense. Jay Cutler is cutting down on turnovers, Matt Forte is running and catching the ball more and Brandon Marshall over powers any defender causing match up problems. The defense is playing like its old self, causing turnovers and turning them into points.

This game features two of the top NFC teams and a lot of factors are coming into play. New Orleans plays different on the road, especially outdoors and with rain in the forecast for Sunday, the high powered Saints might be slowed down just enough for the Bears to squeak out a win. Jay Cutler and crew is used to this type of weather and averaging about 30 points a game, they should be able to score on a Saints defense. Expect some scoring, but not the shootout due to the weather.

PREDICTION: Bears 27, Saints 17

Seattle Seahawks at Indianapolis Colts

Seattle, favored by 3 points, is another 4-0 team and looking to make another statement on the road like they did in Houston last week. Seattle's offense wasn't very good last week, but some help from the insane defense they have and Russell Wilson scrambling a lot, they were able to get by. For Seattle to win Sunday, their passing game has to get going. Russel Wilson completed just over 50% of his passes and threw for only 123 yards, that's not going to cut in Indianapolis.

In just his 2nd year at QB, Andrew Luck has put the Colts back on the AFC contenders map. Adding Trent Richardson to his backfield only strengthens a pretty good offense. Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton are perfect receivers for Luck and Fleener at Tight End is rounding out their offense. The Colts got a huge win in San Francisco thanks to their defense holding the 49er offense down all game, can the Colts do the same this Sunday?

Andrew Luck and the Colts offense have to find ways to get by the staunch Seahawks defense. Can Russell Wilson jump start the offense and get the passing game going? A tough game to call especially since the Colts won in San Francisco, but lost to Miami at home. Seattle is different on the road, but their defense and offense find ways to win. I believe Luck finds ways to get through the Seattle defense and the Seahawks, coming off a lucky win, will continue to struggle on offense in front of a raucous crowd in Indianapolis.

PREDICTION: Colts 21, Seahawks 13

Denver Broncos at. Dallas Cowboys

The Denver Bronco freight train is on a course for the Super Bowl in New York. I have never seen this kind of offense score this many points (172 through 4 games) and make it look so easy. This could be Peyton Manning at his best and is on course to break every passing record possible. For now, their offense can't be stopped, so teams have to figure out ways to slow them down.

Dallas had a typical game last week where they played good, but still lost the game. Romo is playing great and connecting well with Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Demarco Murray is running well and their defense has changed dramatically from last year, yet they are 2-2 this season. This franchise is always an enigma. They have great talent and their owner does whatever it takes to win, but yet they can't put it all together and become a Super Bowl contender.

Dallas has a huge challenge set before them. Could this be the 1st loss for Denver? Can Romo and company pull off a victory that could catapult them into an NFC contender? I don't see it happening. I believe Romo and the 'Boys will score points and run with the Broncos, but can't keep up the entire game. Manning will throw at least 3 touchdowns and the Denver defense will cause a big turnover in the 4th quarter.

PREDICTION: Broncos 34, Cowboys 21

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers

Welcome back Detroit to the land of playing good football. At 3-1, the Lions are tied for first in the NFC North and looking to shock the Packers in Green Bay. Lions fans have to thank Reggie Bush for adding another dimension to their already high powered offense. Not only do the Lions have Megatron kicking everybody's ass, Reggie Bush is catching passes in the open space and running over defenders at will.

Green Bay has had 2 tough road games to start the season and lost both of them, one in San Francisco and the other in Cincinnati. Even though they are 1-2, this team is still among the best in the league. With Aaron Rodgers (who grew up in Chico, CA, booya!!) the Packers will always be a threat for the Super Bowl. The Packers running game has to get going this Sunday and show the league they can do more than just throw it 50 plus times a game.

The last time the Detroit Lions beat the Packers in Green Bay, 1991!! For 22 years, the Lions had hopes to beat the Packers but failed. The addition of Reggie Bush will annoy the Green Bay defense all day and turn this game into a shootout. Rodgers and all his weapons will go up and down the field on a suspect Detroit defense and make the fans happy with many Lambeau Leaps. Detroit's losing streak in Wisconsin will reach 23 years.

PREDICTION: Packers 31, Lions 20
Welcome to the inaugural blog by Jimmy Stubbs. I am here to explain what the bleep is going on in the NFL. I don't claim to be a genius on the sport and I've never ever played competitive football at any level. After watching greats like Dan Marino, Jerry Rice and John Elway every Sunday during the 90's, the love for the NFL started to take me over.

Let's get this started!

The NFL season is a fourth of the way over (didn't seem like it just started a few days ago) and the big boy teams are starting to separate from the pack. My power rankings will only consist of the top 20, so if your team isn't listed don't worry, the 2014 draft isn't too far away. Drum roll please:

1. Denver Broncos - freight train that can't be stopped right now

2. Seattle Seahawks - crazy good defense, offense needs to improve, home field best in any sport

3. New Orleans Saints - looks of the 2010 super bowl champs, Sproles huge X factor

4. New England Patriots - as long as Tom Brady is still QB, Pats will always contend

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Andy Reid is working wonders, defense setting the pace, Charles running wild

6. Indianapolis Colts - Luck looks like 10 year vet, Richardson will make team take that next step

7. Chicago Bears - one loss doesn't matter, Cutler looks great and defense back to the old days

8. Miami Dolphins - Tannehill takes a little step back, tough part of schedule almost done

9. Detroit Lions - Reggie Bush has changed Detroit, defense needs to improve, high ceiling for Lions

10. San Francisco 49ers - running game is back, Kap needs to do read option, which WR will step up

11. Tennessee Titans - Locker injury will slow down success, defense is the strength of this team

12. Houston Texans - Seattle loss hurts, Schaub under pressure, Foster has return to old self

13. Green Bay Packers - Tough early schedule, Rodgers can't be stopped, defense needs to help out

14. Dallas Cowboys - typical Dallas loss to Chargers, Romo throwing well, running game is alive

15. Cincinnati Bengals - AJ Green can't disappear in games, huge games for Dalton, defense strong

16. Baltimore Ravens - 5 int Flacco? Boldin is missed, tough game in Miami Sunday, tied for 1st though

17. Atlanta Falcons - red zone problems, Steven Jackson injury is huge, have to win at home

18. San Diego Chargers - Rivers has returned! Woodhead a huge addition

19. Arizona Cardinals - tough division, great defense, Fitzgerald needs at least 10 catches a game

20. Cleveland Browns - superb defense, always QB issues, owner needs to give some direction to fans

OUT: Panthers, Jets, Bills, Vikings, Redskins, Rams, Bucs, Raiders, Eagles, Steelers, Giants, Jaguars

The NFL has become unpredictable and that helps fans for every team. When Cleveland wins 2 in a row after trading away Trent Richardson and the owners looking to re-build, Browns fans and fans of other teams rebuilding have to believe they have a chance in every game. That's a great feeling for all fans and demonstrates the power the NFL has over other professional sports. The variety of teams that make the playoffs and go to the Super Bowl is what draws people into the sport. Since 2001, 11 different NFC teams have made the Super Bowl. Always believe your team has a chance to compete, unless you are a Jaguars fan.

Each Friday, I will discuss the top games of the weekend and give you my predictions and analysis. Also, I will give some advice for those obsessed (like me) with Fantasy Football.
If you have comments, suggestions, problems about my blog, let me know!! Any questions about games this weekend or who to start or sit for fantasy football, let's hear them!! I want this blog to get as many people as I can interacting and discussing the greatness that is the NFL.
